Before this software comes into play, one of your staff will use the SmartScheduler to schedule a job to a technician or crew.  At that time, based on the kind of appointment needed, the system sends appointment reminders to both the client and the technician(s) for the job.

The scheduler then writes events back to your Zoho CRM for the appointment itself, and also for calculated drive time.

On the date of the appointment, the technician(s) will travel to their appointment destination at the specified time.  They’ll use their FieldTech web app, also available on mobile, to interact with their work order in a number of ways.  They can:

  • Clock into a job
  • View instructions (a task list) related to their work order
  • View or close any tasks related to the work order
  • Log time against those tasks
  • Capture photos of the job site, as necessary
  • Capture an e-signature, as necessary
  • Clock out of the job

Once the technician’s work is done, all information is recorded not only back to the work orders module, where an administrator can compile and view reports.  It can also be synced back to Zoho CRM, and used in CRM or custom reports.
